Thank you for attending CalCCA’s annual meeting. The virtual event – our first to date – attracted more than 500 attendees. We hope the meeting provided you with opportunities to connect with friends and colleagues, gain knowledge and insights, and learn something new about CCAs and California’s energy future. CalCCA is excited to announce that Senator Alex Padilla and James Ralph, Senior Advisor to Governor Newsom for Federal Energy and Climate Policy, will be among the distinguished speakers headlining our 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting on December 1.
Senator Padilla is the first Latino to represent California in the U.S. Senate. He previously served for six years as Chair of the State Senate Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Communications, where he was instrumental in developing California’s renewable energy and climate policies.
Ralph was appointed senior advisor to Governor Newsom in 2020. His previous positions include chief of policy and legal affairs to the president at the California Public Utilities Commission, public utilities counsel at the CPUC, and staff counsel at the State Water Resources Control Board, Office of Enforcement.
The annual meeting is open to CalCCA Operational and Affiliate members, CCA staff and board members, CalCCA Partners, jurisdictions exploring CCA, and other CCA-interested stakeholders. The event will include panel discussions, networking opportunities with CCA leaders, exhibit spaces, and more. The program, including panel topics, speakers, and schedule, is posted here.
