Community Outreach Grants
Peninsula Clean Energy's Community Outreach Grants support organizations offering details to income-qualified and other customers on bill savings and other clean energy program benefits

AgFIT Pilot
Valley Clean Energy's AgFIT Pilot Program provides growers with incentives for irrigation automation and uses scheduling software, to better manage energy costs. Energy prices are visible a week in advance and it’s easy to take advantage of low prices when conditions on the power grid are right.

All-Electric, Affordable Housing
Central Coast Community Energy (3CE)'s New Construction Electrification Program will provide housing developers and homeowners with incentives to build all-electric housing.

Transformative Home Electrification
East Bay Community Energy has partnered with BlocPower to electrify 60 homes throughout EBCE’s service territory. EBCE is providing $1M in project financing and $400,000 in incentives to fund this first-of-its-kind project for low- to moderate-income (LMI) single-family households.

Microgrid Maintenance Fellowship Program
Clean Power Alliance partnered with Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator's Green Jobs Fellowship to launch the solar-plus-storage maintenance training program to prepare program participants with the necessary skills to operate, deploy and maintain microgrid components and software.

Workforce Development
MCE's Workforce Education and Training (WE&T) Program develops a longer–term pipeline of local, green job opportunities for their community members.

Home Appliance Savings Program
Single-family households in disadvantaged communities and citywide with moderate incomes can apply for discounts and rebates on energy-efficient appliances (up to 70% off) and free smart thermostats and plug strips through San Jose Clean Energy’s Home Appliance Savings Program.

Affordable Charging Access
Silicon Valley Clean Energy's pilot with Ecology Action demonstrated a low-power charging technology and business model designed specifically for affordable housing communities.

EV Charge SF
EV Charge SF is designed to help CleanPowerSF customers finance Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in new construction projects in San Francisco.

Community Benefits Grant
Clean Power Alliance (CPA)'s Community Benefits Grant Program is an innovative partnership between CPA and Calpine Energy Solutions. This annual program provides grant funding to organizations working to advance clean energy, green jobs, environmental education and stewardship, and energy equity and diversity in the communities that CPA serves.

Zero Percent Loan Program
Peninsula Clean Energy is providing homeowners in San Mateo County and the City of Los Banos interest-free financing and new rebates to install electric appliances and make other energy-efficiency upgrades.

Virtual Power Plant
MCE’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP) program, slated to launch in 2025, will provide bill savings and increase local grid reliability, safety, and efficiency for low-income residents as part of Richmond’s Advanced Energy Community project.

Super Green Saver
CleanPowerSF's new program, Super Green Saver offers qualifying customers a 20% discount on their electricity bill and 100% renewable energy every month.

Power Share
Clean Power Alliance’s Power Share program provides income-qualified customers in under-resourced communities with 100% renewable energy and a 20 percent discount.

EV Rebates
Valley Clean Energy will give residents $4,000 for a fully electric (BEV) or plug-in hybrid vehicle if their income qualifies, or $2,500 for a BEV/$2,000 for a plug-in hybrid.

Solar Access Program
San José Clean Energy (SJCE)'s Solar Access Program enables customers who rent their home, cannot afford to install solar, or whose home is not suitable for solar to benefit from utility scale clean energy at a discount.

World’s First “GridOptimal” Building
Sonoma Clean Power (SCP)'s all-electric headquarters features an innovative microgrid and goes far beyond “net zero energy” standards by reducing greenhouse gas emissions on the State’s electric grid.

Backup Batteries at Traffic Lights
Silicon Valley Clean Energy Funded a project to install backup battery systems at 14 traffic light intersections in Saratoga. These backup batteries will switch on to power traffic lights and allow the city to maintain access to the signals throughout power outages.

Building Electrification & EV Infrastructure Reach Code Program
Central Coast Community Energy (CCCE) is committing to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions within its service area by developing forward-thinking building and transportation electrification reach codes. The reach codes program provides technical assistance to help cities and counties adopt and implement reach codes and offers stakeholder outreach support.

Solar+Storage Microgrid
Redwood Coast Energy Authority launched California’s first 100% renewable energy, front-of-the-meter, multi-customer microgrid is now fully operational. Located in Humboldt County, California, the microgrid provides energy resilience for the regional airport and US Coast Guard Air Station.

EV Ride-Hailing Program
Peninsula Clean Energy is joining with Lyft and its rental car partner Flexdrive to expand electric vehicle use in ride-hailing in San Mateo County and beyond. As part of the Ride-Hail Electrification Pilot Program, Peninsula Clean Energy will provide $500,000 for a rental incentive to ride-hailing drivers to make the cost of renting an EV comparable to a gas-powered vehicle.

Backup Power for Critical Medical Facilities
MCE’s Energy Storage Program equipped the West Marin Medical Center (WMMC) in Point Reyes with a 10 kW (40 kWh) battery. The storage system is paired with the medical center’s rooftop solar to provide emergency backup power and daily load shifting to reduce energy costs.

Electric School Buses
Central Coast Community Energy's electric school bus program incentivizes public schools and school districts to purchase all-electric school buses in the CCCE region, covering up to 50% of the cost of a bus.

Advanced Energy Center
Sonoma Clean Powers's Advanced Energy Center makes it easy to electrify your home. From induction stovetops to heat pump water heaters, smart thermostats and ventilation systems, the Advanced Energy Center provides visitors with a hands-on tutorial in moving away from gas-fueled appliances to more sustainable, cleaner, and long-term cost saving options.
