Affordable Charging Access
Silicon Valley Clean Energy's pilot with Ecology Action demonstrated a low-power charging technology and business model designed specifically for affordable housing communities.

Community Outreach Grants
Peninsula Clean Energy's Community Outreach Grants support organizations offering details to income-qualified and other customers on bill savings and other clean energy program benefits

Advanced Energy Build
Sonoma Clean Power's Advanced Energy Build Program provides an incentive of $4,500 for builders to provide new housing stock that is all electric. Affordable housing units are provided with an additional $1,500 incentive for single-family homes and an additional $500 incentive per unit for affordable multifamily units.

Electric School Buses
Central Coast Community Energy's electric school bus program incentivizes public schools and school districts to purchase all-electric school buses in the CCCE region, covering up to 50% of the cost of a bus.

Electric Bike Program
Silicon Valley Clean Energy's pilot with Outthink provided e-bikes to four income-qualified residents and implemented low-cost streetscape modifications to demonstrate the benefits and challenges of mode shifting and active transportation.

Workforce Development
MCE's Workforce Education and Training (WE&T) Program develops a longer–term pipeline of local, green job opportunities for their community members.

New Construction Electrification Program
Central Coast Community Energy implemented the second iteration of the New Construction Electrification Program to incentivize local housing developers to construct all electric multi-family housing projects across CCCE’s service area. For this program, CCCE reserved $2.2 million with 75% of program funds reserved specifically for affordable housing developments.

Vehicle Charger Incentives
CPA partnered in the launch of the largest electric vehicle installation effort to date in Ventura County with the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District, the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance, and the California Energy Commission, dedication at least 45% of the funds to low-income and disadvantaged communities.

Agriculture Electrification Program
Central Coast Community Energy implemented the second iteration of the Agricultural Electrification Program to provide incentives to local agricultural businesses to replace fossil fuel powered equipment with all electric equipment, including irrigation pumps, tractors and other ag-related equipment.

Redwood Coast Energy Microgrid
California’s first 100% renewable energy, front-of-the-meter, multi-customer microgrid is now fully operational. Located in Humboldt County, California, the microgrid provides energy resilience for the regional airport and US Coast Guard Air Station.

Advanced Energy Center
From induction stovetops to heat pump water heaters, smart thermostats and ventilation systems, the Advanced Energy Center provides visitors with a hands-on tutorial in moving away from gas-fueled appliances to more sustainable, cleaner, and long-term cost saving options.
