Dear CalCCA Members, Partners, and Supporters,
The California Community Choice Association (CalCCA) has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s annual meeting, originally scheduled to take place November 16-18 in San Jose.
Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our members and meeting participants is of the highest importance. In light of the ongoing worldwide effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the size of the event (we expected over 600 attendees), we feel canceling the meeting is the prudent course of action for all involved. Looking ahead, we are hopeful that we can gather again in person in 2021 and will announce events once there is more certainty.
The good news is that CalCCA is creating opportunities to connect with you virtually through webinars, roundtable discussions, and other online events. Already up and running is our popular new Community Energy Innovation webinar series, which provides a platform for CCAs and their partners to share experiences in a variety of focus areas, including energy resilience, customer programs, load management, and power procurement. You can find registration links for future webinars and recordings of past ones here.
We are also excited to share that CalCCA is revamping our Partner program to provide more opportunities for our partners to connect and share information with CalCCA and its members. If you are currently participating in the program, you will receive an information packet this week with the new updates.
